Abstract

A new microporous framework, Cu[Ni(pdt)2] (pdt2- = pyrazine-2,3-dithiolate), was synthesized and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, UV-vis-NIR spectra, SEM, TGA and CV. Its electronic cond., surface area, doping and redox properties were measured. Its cond. was measured to be 1 x 10-8 S/cm at room temp. (Ea = 0.49 eV). Its BET and Langmuir surface areas were measured to be 385 m2/g and 423 m2/g, resp. It has a reversible redn. at E1/2 = -391 mV vs. Ag/Ag+ as obsd. by cyclic voltammetry. [on SciFinder(R)]
